Delivery driver crashes
Food and package delivery apps have their own insurance rules, and they're not the same as rideshare.

Not the same as rideshare
Georgia's rideshare insurance law is written for companies that carry passengers. Food and package delivery can be covered differently, and some delivery apps' policies only apply in narrow situations.
If a delivery driver hit you
- Note the app name, the delivery bag or signs, and anything the driver says.
- The driver's personal policy may exclude deliveries; the app's policy may apply as excess.
- Your own uninsured/underinsured coverage can fill gaps.
If you're the delivery driver
Keep your delivery history and earnings. If another driver hit you, their insurance is the first place to look. Your own UM coverage may help too.
Every app is different. Tell us which app and what was happening, and we'll find out which coverage applies.
